I’m Dr. Veenu Sisodia, currently serving as the Head of the Department of Basic Sciences and Technology at Pratap University. With over 15 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership, I remain deeply committed to fostering excellence in science education and interdisciplinary research. My academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Physics, jointly awarded by IUAC, New Delhi, and Universität Stuttgart, Germany. I was honored to receive the UGC Post-Doctoral Fellowship, and I'm a NET-JRF (CSIR-UGC) awardee, as well as a Gold Medalist in both my B.Sc. and M.Sc.
Throughout my career, I’ve authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications in renowned journals such as Elsevier and Springer, and presented my research at over 25 national and international conferences. I also actively contribute to the global research community by serving as a reviewer and editorial board member for several scientific journals. As a member of professional bodies including the Materials Research Society of India (MRSI), The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (USA), and the Third World Organization for Women in Science (TWOWS), I continually strive to stay engaged with the latest developments in science and technology.
At Pratap University, our Department of Basic Sciences and Technology offers comprehensive undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Humanities. We are equipped with advanced laboratories supporting spectroscopy, electrochemistry, nanotechnology, and mathematical modeling—facilitating cutting-edge research in areas such as green chemistry, electrocatalysis, solar energy conversion, condensed matter physics, differential equations, and optimization. Our humanities division complements this scientific foundation by offering courses in communication skills, professional ethics, and soft skills. We also nurture holistic development through a digital language lab, literary clubs, debates, and expert-led workshops.
Together, we aim to cultivate a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that prepares students to become innovative thinkers and responsible global citizens.
