About the Department


The Department of Library and Information Science was established in 2015 to offer professional education and research in library science. The department currently offers diploma, bachelor, and master-level programs focused on library operations, information management, and digital literacy. The curriculum is structured to meet current industry requirements and employability standards.

Students receive hands-on experience through laboratory work, library internships, documentation practices, discussions, and academic activities. The department provides access to modern facilities including an Information Technology Lab equipped with computers, internet access, and digital tools for library automation and resource exploration.
