Central Library

The library is an ocean of knowledge & heart of any Institute. Our University's Central library is fully automated & well stocked with more than 35 thousand books which provide access to a large spectrum of text and reference books of Indian and foreign authors, besides e-journals, a number of journals, magazines, periodicals, information bulletins, and newspapers.

The Central Library is presently headed by Mr. Brijmohan, Department of Library Science.

The Central Library houses not only books but also has a good collection of Books.

WORKING HOURS: The working hours of the Library are from 9:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

HOLIDAYS: The Library remains closed on Sundays, National Holidays, Gazette Holidays, and other holidays declared by the University.

SERVICES OFFERED:

1. Circulation of Books (Timings 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM)
All libraries in the university provide this service with varied loan privileges. Students and staff can make use of any library to avail of this service.

2. Periodical Section
The University Library has a Periodical Section in which print journals are available. At present, the University has subscribed to 20 print journals pertaining to all the departments.

3. Digital Library Service
The Digital Section library is having a good number of Computer Systems, which provide access to a variety of E-Resources, such as E-books, E-journals, Conference Proceedings, Reports, E-newspapers, E-magazines, and a whole lot of material for fulfilling the academic requirements of the library users.

4. Newspaper Clipping Service
The Newspaper Clipping Service is also provided by all the libraries of PU. The newspaper clipping service arranges the clippings of Academic activities, News, Notices, Advertisements, write-ups, etc.

5. Documentation Service
The Documentation Section provides services such as photocopy, scanning, typesetting, designing, and printing.

6. Reference Service
The University Library System provides Reference services to its users. The reference service is provided offline and online format.

7. User Awareness Programs
The Central Library of the university organizes User Awareness Program at the beginning of the academic session, so every new user of the library may know about various resources and services of the library and also methods to access or utilize the same.
