I am Dr. Arpita Basak, a dedicated academician and dynamic administrator with over 29 years of rich experience spanning both industry and academia. As a double gold medallist in MBA and a doctorate holder with a specialization in nutraceutical marketing, I bring a unique blend of strategic leadership, academic excellence, and administrative acumen. I am also an accredited management teacher by AIMA and had the privilege of sharpening my leadership capabilities through the prestigious Young Teachers’ Leadership Faculty Development Programme at IIM Kozhikode in 2008. This journey reflects my deep commitment to academic leadership and pedagogical innovation.

Over the years, I have held leadership positions such as Director, Dean, Joint Director (Academics), and Associate Dean at esteemed institutions including Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Mohan Babu University, The Assam Kaziranga University, Tishk International University (Erbil, Iraq), Tata Institute of Social Sciences, IIHMR University, and ESCI – a sister concern of IEI.

Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in driving academic excellence, managing accreditation processes such as NAAC, NBA, and NIRF, and spearheading curriculum development and quality assurance initiatives. I have consistently advocated for digital learning and innovation, promoting the integration of ICT-enabled classrooms, Learning Management Systems, and smart infrastructure like NSE Smart Labs for financial markets to ensure our institutions remain technologically advanced and future-ready.

My administrative responsibilities have included curriculum reform, faculty development, statutory compliance, international collaborations, and digital transformations, such as implementing robust student record management systems.
